This is for candidates who are on the fence about moving. It is usually done over the phone and allows us to ask specific questions to understand things like: where is their firm ranked in the top 200? What are the latest deals/cases etc (high profile or otherwise) that the firm has been involved in? Have there been new hires recently (partner level or otherwise)? Have there been any resignations recently? What are they paid and how does it compare to competitors? Do they get a bonus and how does it compare to competitors? How far do they travel? How big is their team? By asking such questions, we are then able to say to a candidate that they are actually paid well for their level but aren’t getting the requisite training or business development experience. Or, they are underpaid and should move, and we can help them do that.
